In 2020, I have found a new love — Rituel de Fille. Particularly, I have found love in the Metamorphic Highlighters and Rare Crème Luminizers. These multi-use products can be places on the eyes, lips, and cheeks. They are truly beautiful and special products!
Since my first haul, which is pictured directly below (sort of, because I did accidentally sleep on The Chimera and had to purchase it from a reseller), I have been in a non-stop relationship with RdF. I didn’t want to break up the posts by each haul, which is why this post is extremely picture-heavy.
Most of these are permanent products in RdF’s lineup, but there are a few of their Moon Drops here. Moon Drops are limited edition releases, which typically happen during full moons. These products are extremely limited and do not usually return. Apparently, some of them are made of special ingredients that are in limited supply.

The Metamorphic Highlighters are cream highlighters with “translucent radiance and sublime color shifts.” They can be worn as highlighters, as well as on the eyes and lips. They are extremely luminous and have a sparklier finish than the Rare Light Crème Luminizers.
The Chimera was a Moon Drop from July 2020. Unfortunately, this highly sought-after highlighter is no longer available from Rituel de Fille. Keep your fingers crossed for another return (it recently came back for October’s weekly Moon Drops). Or you can be like me and overpay for it through a resale website.
The Dream is another limited-edition Metamorphic Highlighter. RdF offered this to customers who confirmed their voter registration statuses in the United States. RdF decided to spread the love to those who cannot vote in U.S. — just email them and you can also live The Dream! This beauty is currently still available.
The Enchantress has the creamiest formula of all the Metamorphic Highlighters. The texture is almost liquid in the pan where I’ve touched the product. It’s a stunning blue and one of my favorites!

The Rare Light Crème Luminizers are cream products inspired by “extraordinary light phenomena.” Each Luminizer has subtle shifts. The Rare Light Crème Luminizer formula is definitely more subtle than that of the Metamorphic Highlighters. They have less of a glitter texture.
Phosphene is my least favorite of this bunch. Built up, it can look silver or white on dark skin. I can still wear it as a highlighter (I’m actually wearing at the time I’m writing this) but it is most flattering, in my opinion, when I use little product and sheer it out.
Lunaris and Solaris can be purchased as a pair (for no additional discount). They are inspired by celestial light and meant to capture “the duality of the moon and sun, and the dimensional radiance of night and day.” Lunaris embodies moonlight, while Solaris embodies the heat of sunlight.
I notice a slight white cast with the Luminizers, especially when I swatch them. Those who are familiar with iridescent shifts on dark skin know what’s happening here. When built up, the iridescent (white) base comes through more on dark skin. Layering them over deeper highlighters would ameliorate the white cast. I would recommend this especially for Anthelion and Phosphene if you have deep skin and are interested in those.
- Phosphene: Pale beige glow with a hint of peachy-blush shift
- Solaris: Warm, soft, radiant red fire within translucent opal/peach
- Anthelion: Gold nude** luminizer with a subtle red-orange highlight
- Stellaris: Translucent opal with cool gold undertones
- Lunaris: Blue-shifting opal
I know that was a lot so I’m going to be short here. The Metamorphic Highlighters are my favorite. They are the more glamorous option and many of the colors are especially flattering on dark skin. On days when I want to be to be have more “natural” look, I reach for the Rare Light Crème Luminizers.
My bad for not swatching the Rare Lights sheered out, as I normally do with highlighters. I mean, I also didn’t swatch the Metamorphics sheered, but I know my camera would have struggled to capture those. I think sheered swatches give a better idea of how “wearable” you’ll find a particular shade, and that is especially important for the Rare Lights since they have that iridescence to them. I am planning a part two to this post (I picked up Solar Flare and some samples of shades I’m missing) so I will hopefully remember to include sheered swatches then. But, let’s be honest, y’all didn’t need any more photos in this post!
