Fancy Gloss Ghostly Fog

Accent: Fancy Gloss - Magic Pebble
About the Polishes

Ghostly Fog is a light grey with pink, purple, green, copper, and gold flakes and copper, red, and green shimmer. The photos show it applied in two coats on all but my ring finger.

Magic Pebble is a dark grey polish with pink, purple, green, copper, and gold flakes and copper, red, and green shimmer. The photos show it applied on my ring finger in two coats.

Both polishes are from Fancy Gloss and were offered in a Monochromatic Trio, along with a third polish called Mystic Shadow. Mystic Shadow has the same flakes and shimmers, but in a black base.

Thoughts

I say this about *almost* every color, but hear me out — grey is one of my favorite colors to wear. I don’t believe I have cool undertones in my skin but, for some reason, cool-toned colors like grey and blue really speak to me. And when I see a grey with flakies, it’s game over. So I could not pass on this Monochromatic Trio from Fancy Gloss.

I purchased these polishes as part of my first order with Fancy Gloss and they made a great first impression. Fancy Gloss polishes are truly something special. I think the brand does flakie polishes and thermal polishes exceptionally well. So I will definitely be a returning customer!

The only area of improvement for me would be diversity in swatches on their Instagram page. Diversity of swatches skin tones is important because it helps people make smart, informed purchasing decisions. Since joining Fancy Gloss’s fan page on Facebook, I’ve been able to find many different skin tones represented in swatch photos for their polishes. However, I hope to see more of that representation on Instagram, because a lot of people looking for swatches aren’t in every indie polish brand’s Facebook page. But believe me when I say that you will not be disappointed when you see their gorgeous polishes in person!

  1. Fancy Gloss is my fave! You put me on to PPU and that’s how I first heard of all the indie polish brands. I have over 20 indie polishes now and I just started this summer. I look forward to seeing more of your collection!
